Description
Crisp & sessionable
Style: Czech-style pilsner lager
Malt: Irish pilsner malt
Hops: Hallertau, Hersbrucker, Lublin
Strength: 4.0% ABV
Bitterness: 33 IBUs
Tasting notes:
Colour/appearance:pale gold in the glass, white head.
Aroma: floral, with a hint of pepper.
Flavour: this is light on the palate, clean and delicate, but with plenty of sophisticated flavour. There’s enough bitterness to make it interesting, and a little peppery spice from the hops.
Aftertaste: light on the palate, with a snappy, bitter aftertaste. Very sessionable.
Food pairings:
this is the perfect beer to have with pizza, working brilliantly with the tomato sauce and cutting through all that melted cheese. The snappy bitterness is a delightful counterpoint to the sweetness of shellfish – try it as an aperitif, served in champagne flutes, with a half-dozen Irish oysters or even have a glass with some savoury home-popped popcorn.
